Ok, this is unbelievable, but true. During the the sixth month when the planet Venus was crossing the sun, lightning struck our house in Illinois. My husband and two cats were home (Banshee was in peril!) and went to bed. It started a fire in the attic.

Six hours later (at 6 AM), a neighbor who just happened to be up on a fluke chance smelled the fire and then saw the flames coming from the roof. She woke him up and called the fire dept.

Six days later (yes, there is a pattern here), I was in a sweat lodge in Maryland. I was pouring and had just finished giving thanks for my familyÕs safety and not much damage done by the fire. A friend started to conduct the next round when the lodge was hit by lightning.

Everyone inside got zapped, but no one got hurt. The surge felt like scattering snakes underneath my legs and came with a really loud crash of thunder.

Clearly, that storm system wanted attention.
