Items for Religious Ceremonies (or your cereal)

Cathleen's work is being used in churches and ceremonies such as chalices for the Christian Eucharist, plates for Norse Divination, cups for the Wiccan Great Rite, tureens for Asiento, and offering plates for many Spirits. Cathleen is an ordained minister and has a deep respect for the sacred world in its many forms. Your pieces are always made with this respect in mind.

For a rough pricing estimate on these and similar items, see the price list in the Hand-Decorated and Rock Art Sections. These items that contain decoration (i.e. not the dipped goblet) are either considered hand-decorated, hand-decorated elaborate, or pottery with sculptural elements. The price might vary from that price list.

*Tips on microwaving hand thrown stoneware pottery:

I throw in both white and brown stoneware. It is said that if the clay is white, it is microwave safe. Red and brown clays contains iron, as do red and brown glazes. As we know, metal in the microwave is not good. However, I personally have gotten years, so far, out of my brown stoneware pieces, including microwaving them.

For microwaving on pottery, you will reduce the chance of breakage if you place the food evenly on the inside of the container. Microwaved or oven warmed pieces will be hot when you remove them. Never stack empty pottery to warm them in the microwave or the oven.
